Meet Policies

During the swim season, there is a practice meet (time trials), five dual meets, one divisional championship meet and several invitational meets (voluntary meets for qualified swimmers that cost extra). All required team meets are held on Saturday mornings.

Meet attendance is a responsibility that comes with being on the team. All swimmers are encouraged to attend all meets. Swim meets are a great way to measure improvement and strive to reach goals. Awards at the end of the season will be given to those swimmers that have attended at least TWO DUAL SWIM MEETS.

Swimmer Attendance Declaration
From Sunday 6:00 pm until Tuesday Midnight

Our web platform allows families access to their swimmers’ times, and helps track swimmer development. After logging in, you will be able to view all swim meets, events, and times for your swimmer.

For every meet you must declare attendance through this website (SwimTopia):

  • For Dual Meets and the Playoff Meet the deadline is the prior Tuesday at midnight.
  • For Invitational Meets, we'll inform you the meet entry deadline upon the meet host releases the announcement.

You should also indicate to us when your swimmer is not able to participate in a meet for whatever reason (declare Not Attending via the website). If you know your swimmer will miss a swim meet, it is your responsibility to let us know via the web site by Tuesday night at midnight.

Swimmer Check-in
The meet day from 6:45 to 7:15 am

Swim meets start at 8:30 a.m. and end around 3:00 p.m. Swimmers must check in for each meet at the check-in table between the times of 6:45 and 7:15 am. IF the swimmer isn't at the table or checked in after 7:15 am, the swimmer will not be able to participate in the meet. Please be prompt for all swim meets. If you are not checked in by the time the attendance sheets go to the coaches for the scratch meeting, your swimmer will not swim that day!

If your child is sick on the day of a swim meet, please call or text your coach and/or a board member and/or someone that can let the meet administration know. All swimmers that declared attending a meet will be scheduled to swim that meet unless we are otherwise notified.

10 & Under Swimmer Tents
These tents are only for swimmers and the respective tent parents

The TENT PARENTS have the important role of keeping the communication open between our youngest swimmers, coaches and the clerk of course during the meets.

Tent Parents are assigned to a specific age group and to either boys or girls. Each swimmer is responsible for checking in with and remaining accessible to their age-group coordinator throughout the meet. This is mandatory for all swimmers 10 and Under.

Parents must not set up at the swimmers tents (no chairs, no coolers, no lounges). If you are not a Tent Parent, we'll kindly request you to move your chairs, coolers, wagons, etc to another place in the setup area

Types of Meets

Time Trials: Our first meet of the year, this is a "practice" meet with only our team competing. Swimmers will receive their "unofficial" times for all eligible events during this meet. Without an unofficial time, one cannot swim the event in a dual meet.

Dual Meets: These are meets in which we compete against another team in our division. We have 5 dual meets per season: 2 home meets and 3 away meets.

Divisional Meet: All teams from the division will compete against each other to determine final team rankings within the division. This meet is a required team meet. Everyone is encouraged to participate. Swimmers must have competed in at least TWO DUAL MEETS to be eligible to participate in the Divisional Meet.

Invitational Meets: These are optional meets in which swimmers can participate. Only swimmers who have achieved the qualifying entry times are eligible to compete at invitational meets. Swimmers will be notified if they qualify. Swimmers are responsible for covering the cost to enter individual events. Relay costs, however, will be covered by the team.
