Good Evening, Parents and Swimmers

It's hard to believe that the summer league season is beginning next week.  We are looking forward to seeing our returning swimmers and to meeting all of our new families.  We have lots of information to share with you as we prepare to get back in the water.

New Location!

We are excited to announce that we will be offering indoor practices and meets this season! This means that there shouldn't be any cancelled practices due to inclement weather and home meets should end earlier with an 8 lane pool!  With the change in location comes a new practice schedule.  We will now practice Monday-Thursday with the exception of next week where we will still begin on Tuesday as previously scheduled.  This also means that all of our cougar cubs and 6&Under swimmers can also start next week instead of waiting for the outdoor pool to warmup.

2021 Practice Schedule

This season all practices will take place at the Tomball Aquatic Center

Location: 13850 Zion Rd. Tomball, TX 77375

(Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

• 5:00pm -5:30pm 6& Under Age Group & Cougar Cubs
• 5:30pm - 6:30pm 11 & Up
• 6:30pm - 7:00pm 7 & 8 Age Group
• 7:00pm - 7:30pm 9 & 10 Age Group

Registration Still Open!

Spread that word that registration is still open.  We will accept swimmers until May 7th.  At that point all rosters must be complete.  So share with your friends and neighbors what a great activity summer league is for the kids!

Seasonal Volunteer Jobs

Would you like to guarantee that you will reach your required 9 points of volunteer time?  A seasonal volunteer job will do just that!  The job sign up has opened on the team website for those who would like to sign up for a season long position.  There are meet specific jobs as well as jobs that can be done from home or during practice.  If you don't think a seasonal position is right for you don't worry.  We will have many more volunteer opportunities available through the season for each meet as well as jobs at the BBQ pep rally and the end of season banquet.

Volunteer Deposits

All volunteer deposit checks are due within the first two weeks of practice. If your $200 deposit check is not received by the end of the first two weeks your swimmer will not be allowed to continue in the program so be sure you get yours turned in soon.

First Day of Practice!

Our first day of practice will be on Tuesday, April 20th.  Week one will be a short week.  All TCAT swimmers should enter through the main lobby to check in.   Swimmers will be assigned a coach at check in and shown to the pool deck.  Parents ARE NOT allowed on the pool deck for any reason.  Please do not break this rule as it will jeopardize our ability to use the facility.

• Until May 27th, everyone who enters the facility is required to wear a face mask.  This includes swimmers.  Swimmers will take off their mask to swim but will need to put it back on as soon as they finish.  Each swimmer should bring a ziploc bag to keep their mask in while they swim.
• At this time parents are not allowed to remain in the facility during practices.  We are allowed to offer come and go seating during swim meets but not during practices.  If this rule changes during the season we will be sure to let you know.  In the mean time if you would like to watch practice please feel free to bring a lawn chair to sit on the patio near the deck entrance and watch through the glass walls.  Our year round swim parents have been using this option since June and it has worked well.  
• Swimmers should arrive in their suit ready to swim.  We do not want to waste precious minutes of practice waiting on swimmers to get changed.  
• Swimmers should bring the following items to practice each day:
  • swim suit
  • goggles
  • water bottle
  • towels
