Good Morning, Cougar Families and Swimmers!

Welcome to the 2023 Summer League Season! We are so excited to have everyone with us this summer. There is still time to sign up so if you have friends who haven't joined the team yet and want to please have them join us as soon as possible so they don't miss out on any of the fun!

Please check email OFTEN! This is the primary way that we communicate with the team. There will be lots of information coming out over the next couple of weeks so please pay close attention.

New this season - Coach Deanne Sampson will be our Head Coach this year and she brings with her an amazing group of assistant and junior coaches who are ready to make this season a fun and successful one. Coaching along side Coach De this year are assistant coaches, Coach Courtney and Coach Ava. Junior Coaches will be helping our littlest cougars in the water this season as well. Jr Coach Shae, Jr Coach Cali and Jr Coach Anna will be on deck and in the water giving tons of feedback and words of encouragement to our cougars. Practice Check-In - Swimmers will be checking in this season outside at the deck door entrance of the pool this season. Be sure that your swimmer checks in for practice everyday.

Rookie Camp - Rookie Camp starts this week. It will be a come and go experience April 11th-13th (T/W/TH) 5:30-6:30pm for swimmers who are new to the team. Swimmers should come prepared to swim in a suit with goggles and towels. They will be hopping in for a quick evaluation with our coaches to make sure they are water safe for this swim season. "Water Safe" for summer league means that they can swim the length of the pool unassisted.

Volunteers - Be on the look out this week for an email from our volunteer coordinator, Petra Cochran. She will be giving you all the details on volunteer signups. The summer season doesn't run without the help of our parents.

Want to Swim for FREE?? - Sign up to be a team official! First year officials (or ones who "test up") who work a minimum of three swim meets get one swimmer's registration fees reimbursed. We need officials! If you would like more information how to join the Officials Crew contact me ASAP. Certification Classes will end soon.

Team Suits - Come early the first day of practice to be fitted for your team suit. D&J Sports will be on location helping parents and swimmers order the correct size suit. If you miss them don't worry. You can visit the store in person to be fitted and order as well.
