READ ME!! TOM vs CLC Meet Information!

Good Evening, Cougars!!

We are super pumped for the first dual meet of the season!!  Here is a summary of pertinent information for the meet.  Attached are the estimated timeline and psych sheet.

Pre-Meet Timeline:

  • Please do not arrive before 6:30AM
  • 7:15 AM – Mariners warm-ups (30 min)
  • 7:15 AM - TCATS Check-in - (30 min) If your swimmer does not "circle-in" they will be scratched from the meet.  
  • 7:45 AM – TCATS warm-up (30 min)  All swimmers are REQUIRED to attend warmups
  • 8:00 AM - Officials Meeting
  • 8:10 AM - Timers/Scribes Meeting
  • 8:20 AM – Volunteers Timers/Scribes report to posts
  • 8:30 AM - Meet Start

Concessions: They will have breakfast tacos, burgers, sausages, Rotolos pizza, snacks, candy and drinks for sale at concessions. Cash or card are accepted ($5 minimum for card)

Parking:

  • Please see the map at the end of the email. NO PARKING signs will be placed on one side of the streets. PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON BOTH SIDES OF THE STREET.
  • To alleviate street congestion, please consider parking at the Children's Courtyard at Louetta and Colony Creek Dr. It's not too far, and you're still able to drop off children and equipment.
  • Also, please be respectful of resident driveways and lawns.

Playground, Tennis, Volleyball: Playground, tennis courts, and volleyball courts are not to be used during the meet. Please remind your swimmers to stay off of the slides, swings, etc.

Spectating -Although the pool deck will be busy and packed, there will be room for you to watch your child swim. Viewing areas will be marked – the primary area is in front of the clubhouse across from computers. The only thing we ask is that you only stand there to watch your child and leave as soon as you're able. It has to be a fluid movement as events quickly move through the meet. Also, per NWAL rules, there is no photography in the area of the starting blocks.

What To Bring: 

  • Team Shirt
  • Team Suit
  • Team Cap
  • Goggles (more than one pair)
  • Towels (more than one)
  • Pop Tent (for parents)
  • Folding Chairs
  • Bug Spray
  • Sun Screen
  • Healthy Snacks
  • Water to stay hydrated
  • Cooler with iced shammies/cool towels to stay cool
  • Something fun and stationary to keep your swimmer occupied between events.  (ex: books, board games, cards, bracelet making kits, etc...)

After CHECK-IN:

YOU will need to mark your child's arm with their event numbers similar to this diagram.

Info will be available on SwimTopia app and posted heat sheets. 

RELAY RACES START DURING DUAL MEETS! - if your swimmer has to leave early before their relay please tell the coaches WELL BEFORE you need to leave so a replacement can be found.  Swimmers who leave without notifying the coach WILL NOT be placed on future relays.
